(Peggy and Breeze- and a sunrise)

I’ve known Breeze for awhile. She came from the same place that Munroe did- so they’re kind of like brother and sister:)I took pictures of her when she was just a baby, and now she’s grown into a gorgeous blonde bombshell. What a lovely girl.

Peggy really wanted to play with the light- we tried for sunsets a few times and they just didn’t work out, so she asked if I’d be interested in a sunrise shoot. Hmmm. Early, dark, cold, frosty, the light just getting stronger and brighter- basically the opposite of what I was used to working with. But I agreed to give it a try.

Beautiful, burning orange, yellow, red, and pink light saturated the sky for almost an hour that frosty morning. I could see my breath and barely feel my fingers. The leaves and grass crunched under my feet. But there was a certain calm in the air – nothing but the sun was really quite awake and despite the chill, Peggy and Breeze snuggled and stayed warm together. As the sun breached the horizon, its rays seemingly catching fire to the distant tree-line, I smiled and blew warm breath on my fingers, Peggy laid her head on Breeze’s and they both closed their eyes at the same time. This sunrise stuff wasn’t so bad after all.
